Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump took on the role of a fry cook at McDonald’s in Pennsylvania on Sunday and took a jab at his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, stating that he “worked 15 minutes more than Kamala” at the fast food chain.

The former US President visited a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, to challenge Kamala Harris’s claim of a “middle-class background.” Harris has referenced her time working at McDonald’s in her campaign advertisements and speeches.

However, Trump has consistently asserted that Harris never worked at McDonald’s, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. He donned an apron and worked behind the counter making fries while also engaging with the McDonald’s staff. Additionally, he served food to customers at the restaurant’s drive-through.

“Look at the crowd over here. They are so happy because they have hope. They need hope,” he said. “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala.”
Last month, during a campaign event in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Trump stated, “I want to work as a fry cook to see how it is,” referencing Harris’s previous job.
Both candidates are making frequent stops in Pennsylvania in the final weeks leading up to Election Day on November 5, recognizing the state’s significance in securing a victory. Trump and Harris are heavily focusing on Pennsylvania, with both campaigns reportedly investing hundreds of millions of dollars in the state.
With just over two weeks until Election Day on November 5, 2024, Harris and Trump are in a tight race. Both candidates are ramping up their efforts as they campaign vigorously across key states.
