While pranks are often seen as harmless fun, some can be dangerous and damage property. Recently, a woman became the target of such a prank when a paint balloon was thrown into her car. She shared the incident on Reddit, which has since sparked significant concern among social media users about the safety implications of such pranks.

Reddit user “18monthdrought” described the incident, saying, “Someone threw a paintball through my window at a red light. Was pretty harmless, but why?” She also shared images showing pink paint splattered on her steering wheel, car door, and clothes.

The post, shared a day ago, has received over 6,400 upvotes and numerous comments. Many users highlighted the potential dangers of such pranks.

One commenter noted, “It doesn’t seem harmless. Cleaning paint, especially on a white interior, is a pain. Also, if it hits the driver in the face or eyes, that’s not good. Even if they hit the windshield, that makes blind zones.”

Another remarked, “You don’t usually have a paint balloon with you on the road. The person likely intended to prank people and maybe get attention on TikTok. If you’re lucky, you might come across the video and track them down.”

Another user cautioned, “This is how people get killed over stupid things. This could end very badly if it happens to the wrong person on the wrong day.”

A fourth commenter expressed concern, saying, “I worry if this is influenced by modern influencers who are terrible human beings. I am genuinely scared for the future.”
