A shocking case of human sacrifice was reported in the national capital. A woman kidnapped a newborn child and was all set to sacrifice the toddler in order to bring her dead father back. However, contrary to the stereotypical perception of the police timing, the cops arrived just on time.

The incident was reported in East of Kailash area. The accused had a superstitious belief and thought that after killing a toddler, she could bring back her dead father.

According to the cops, the child was rescued safely before the woman could do anything and could proceed further with the plan. The police also said that the child was rescued within 24 hrs of kidnapping. As per the reports, the accused was also previously involved in the cases of robbery and burglary.

A special team was formed to resolve the case. The team comprised of sub-inspector Rajinder Singh, head constables Ravinder Giri, Sher Singh, Sachin Saroha, Neeraj Kumar and Dinesh Kumar and woman constable Poonam and the team was led by Amar Colony police station SHO Pradeep Rawat.

As per the police reports, the kidnapper had introduced herself as member of an NGO working for Jachcha-Bachcha care and met her in the Safdarjung hospital. In addition to this, the accused also promised to provide free medication and consultation and later followed them. Subsequently she paid a visit to their home twice and asked the mother to hand over the infant for the check up.

A day later, after receiving a tip, police conducted a raid near Arya Samaj Mandir, Kotla Mubarakpur where the kidnapper was supposed to come and apprehended her.
