Saharanpur-based actress Urmila Sanawar has made headlines by asserting that former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore is her husband and is advocating for recognition as his spouse. This claim has garnered significant attention following Urmila’s social media posts featuring pictures with Suresh Rathore.
In a viral post, Suresh Rathore, a former BJP MLA from the Jwalapur assembly seat in Haridwar, is depicted combing Urmila’s hair. Rathore clarified that the video was taken during the shooting of a serial and was posted under misleading circumstances. He described it as part of a conspiracy. The video shows Rathore combing Urmila’s hair in one instance and her cutting onions in another.
Urmila Sanawar hails from Saharanpur. She appeared in a film titled “Aakhir Palaayan Kab Tak.” Besides, she has also worked in several TV serials. Clarifying information to media sources, Urmila stated that the video was not from a shooting but was self-recorded. She referred to Suresh Rathore as her husband, mentioning that soon he would publicly acknowledge her as his wife. Urmila has started using the name Urmila Suresh Rathore on social media and has shared photos of both of them on WhatsApp.
The meeting took place two years ago. Urmila mentions, “I am currently going through a divorce case with my husband in court.” Two years ago, I went to Ravidas Peeth seeking justice, where I met Suresh for the first time. He began to get closer by showing his interest. He took me to his ashram and eventually to expensive hotels, where we developed a relationship. Urmila claims that the video showing Suresh Rathore preparing food in her house is authentic.
Marriage took place in Nepal. She said, “Two years ago, we both went to Nepal for vacation and got married at the Pashupatinath Temple. We have been living as husband and wife for two years now. He visits my house thrice a week and has visited my Mumbai home several times. He has a separate house in Dehradun, where he also frequently visits.” Urmila expressed her desire to make their relationship public, which Suresh promised to do after his son’s wedding. Urmila recalls meeting Suresh Rathore in connection with the divorce case two years ago.
