New Delhi: The recovery rate for Covid-19 in India has reached 95.69 percent as the country continues to witness a steady decline in daily new coronavirus cases. The total recoveries have gone up to 96,63,382, with 26,895 new recoveries recorded on Wednesday. While there are 2,89,240 active coronavirus cases in the country now—a number which is less than 3 lakhs after 164 days—they constitute less than 3 percent of overall cases in India.
However, 23,950 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total count to 1,00,99,066. 333 deaths were also reported in the same period, taking the death count to 1,46,444.
Delhi reported 871 new COVID-19 cases, 1,585 recoveries and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases so far is 6,19,618, with 6,01,268 total recoveries and 10,347 deaths. Active cases stand at 8,003.
Maharashtra reported 3,913 new Covid-19 cases, 7,620 discharges, and 93 deaths today. Total number of coronavirus cases in the state is 19,06,371, with 18,01,700 recoveries and 48,969 deaths. Total active cases in the state stand at 54,573.
Meanwhile, Karnataka reported 958 new cases of Covid-19, along with 1,206 discharges and 9 deaths on Wednesday. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state is 9,12,340, which includes 8,86,547 total discharges and 12,038 deaths. Active cases stand at 13,736.
Tamil Nadu reported 1,066 new Covid-19 cases, besides 1,131 discharges, and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours. Total positive cases in the state amount to 8,10,080. 7,88,742 recoveries and 12,024 deaths have also been recorded in the state so far. Active cases stand at 9,314.
Rajasthan reported 992 new Covid-19 cases. The state also recorded 8 new deaths and 937 recoveries. The total number of positive cases so far stand at 3,01,708. The death toll stands at 2,642 death toll and the number of recoveries at 2,87,418. Active cases in the state stand at 1,736.
