It has been bitterly cold in Haryana for the past 26 days, and today, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for fog and a cold day in six districts of the state. Due to the cold wave, which is moving at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour, there has been a continuous decline in daytime temperatures. On Tuesday, a drop of up to 5.4 degrees was recorded.

According to the Meteorological Department, after January 25th, the night temperature in Haryana is expected to increase by 2 degrees due to the influence of a western disturbance. Another western disturbance is anticipated on January 27th, which may impact hilly areas and, if stronger, could affect the plains as well. Weather experts predict that similar conditions will persist throughout January in Haryana.

There is a possibility of rain in Haryana in the last week of January. However, there has been no rainfall in the state so far this month. The normal rainfall from January 1st to 23rd is considered to be 9.3 mm. Due to the lack of rain, some districts in the state, except for Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, and Sonipat, have experienced cold day or severe cold day conditions.
