Senior NCP leader Chaggan Bhujbal is said to be unhappy after being denied cabinet ministry in the Devendra Fadnavis led Mahayuti government 2.0. NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal on Tuesday trained his guns on his party chief Ajit Pawar. “To my knowledge, the CM insisted on inducting me in the cabinet and I have confirmed the information. The way Devendra Fadnavis takes decisions in BJP, Eknath Shinde in Shiv Sena, in NCP, it is Ajit Pawar who takes the final decision,” he said while taking to the media in Nagpur.
Chaggan Bhujbal the veteran politician said he was not “a toy with whom they can play the way they want to I used to have some say in decision making when I was in other parties, be it Shiv Sena, Congress or Sharad Pawar-led NCP,” he added.
He further said, “There has to be a discussion before taking a decision. Even the BJP’s list also goes to Delhi for discussion. Sharad Pawar saheb also used to discuss things, but here no one knows what is going to happen till the end,” Chaggan Bhujbal said. “Only three leaders are running the NCP – Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare. Our contribution in decision-making is zero.”
Today Chaggan Bhujbal will be having a meeting with his party workers in yeola constituency in nashik after which it is said that he will decide his future plans. When asked about whether he will stay with NCP or leave Ajit Pawar he replied, “Jaha nahi chaina waha nahi rahna”. Today afternoon 12 pm all the supporters of Chaggan Bhujbal will meet him and later on the decision will be taken by him whether to stay with Ajit Pawar led NCP faction or leave it.
Chaggan Bhujbal is among the senior most leaders in the undivided NCP who shifted loyalty to Ajit Pawar when the latter split the party. He was known as the one of the loyalist of Sharad Pawar even though he took the decision despite the fact that Sharad Pawar was his political mentor. It was Sharad Pawar who brought Bhujbal into the NCP and made him deputy chief minister twice and also its state president.
