Leopard Stands on Two Legs in During Hunt
A stunning video of a leopard standing on its hind legs has gone viral on the internet. Captured in Kruger National Park in South Africa, the brief clip shows the big cat in a very rare, almost human stance that has stunned people all around the globe.
Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan posted the video on social media, stating, "That leopard is looking at his dinner on two legs. Leopards are one of the most adaptable animals on the planet. From Kruger."
The video captures the leopard standing up onto its hind legs, as if it's scanning the high grass for what it might want to eat.
The same video was also uploaded by 'Latest Sightings – Kruger' on Facebook. Their caption provided further information regarding the strange sighting: "As this leopard was stalking some impala, it abruptly sat up on its hind legs to be able to see better. Then, adding to the weirdness of the scene, it stood completely upright on its back legs, just like a human being, for an even better view! It seemed so at ease doing this that it must do this all the time."

Social media soon went into overdrive with a mix of reactions, from surprise to light-hearted guesswork. One posted, "Don't be surprised if they stand and walk like humans after 5,000 more years." Another put forward a well-thought-out opinion: "Keep them and make a habitat for animals to live alongside humans. Neither one must interfere in the other's affairs, as humanely as possible."
The going viral moment did not only underscore the leopard's unexpected resilience but also initiated discussions regarding wildlife preservation and our common space with nature.
