In a recently resurfaced clip from a 2019 interview with Komal Nahta, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan provided insight into why his famous son, actor Salman Khan, remains unmarried despite a series of high-profile relationships. Salim Khan candidly shared that Salman ‘lacks the courage to get married,’ attributing it to his son’s simple nature and specific expectations for a spouse.
Salman Khan, one of Bollywood’s most eligible bachelors, has had a string of relationships with notable figures including Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Somy Ali, Sangeeta Bijlani, and Iulia Vantur. According to Salim, Salman easily enters into relationships but is hesitant to take the next step due to concerns about finding a partner who can manage a family like his mother did.
“He easily enters into relationships, but he lacks the courage to get married. He has a very simple nature and gets attracted easily. However, he always wonders whether the woman can manage a family like his mother does,” Salim Khan said in Hindi during the interview. He further elaborated, “He wants the woman he marries to be dedicated to her husband and children, just like his mother was. She should cook meals for the children, help them get ready, and ensure their homework is done. However, this is not easy in today’s times.”
Salim Khan’s comments have sparked reactions on social media. One Instagram user remarked, “Men want to make women the slave of their desires… same mentality as every other guy.” Another user suggested, “He (Salman Khan) has started lying because such a thing is not possible.”
