In the Independence Day box office clash of 2024, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa went head-to-head with the much-anticipated Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. On the sixth day of their release, Khel Khel Mein emerged as the winner in the battle between the two films.

According to Sacnilk.com, Khel Khel Mein, which also features Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal, collected an estimated ₹1.2 crore nett in India on Tuesday. This figure marks a 40 percent decline from its previous day but still brings its total earnings to ₹17.25 crore nett domestically and ₹27.70 crore nett worldwide.
In contrast, Vedaa earned ₹0.8 crore on its sixth day, reflecting a 46.67 percent drop. The film’s total stands at ₹16.3 crore nett in India and ₹22.30 crore nett globally. Despite an initial higher opening, Khel Khel Mein has managed to outpace Vedaa in terms of box office collections.
Clash with Stree 2
Both films were released on the same day as Stree 2, the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. Stree 2 has performed exceptionally well at the box office, accumulating ₹25.8 crore on its sixth day, with its total collection reaching ₹255.35 crore.
