Former US President Donald Trump hinted at having already chosen his running mate for the upcoming presidential election during a campaign stop in Philadelphia. In an interview with NBC News, Trump disclosed that he had made a decision in his mind but kept the identity of the candidate confidential, stating, “No, nobody knows.”

Donald Trump suggested that the chosen candidate would be present at the upcoming presidential debate against incumbent Joe Biden, scheduled for Thursday, indicating a possible imminent reveal. However, he hinted that the official announcement would likely coincide with the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18.

Among the speculated top contenders for the vice presidential slot are North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. Reports from NBC News highlighted Burgum and Vance as leading finalists, with Rubio also in consideration.

Adding to the intrigue, Trump’s praise of Indian-American entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy fueled speculation that he could be a surprise pick. Trump commended Ramaswamy as a “smart guy” and hinted at his involvement, stating, “He’s gonna be with us in some form.”

Recently, HindustanTimes.com reported on a video circulating online allegedly showing Trump’s private jet, with speculation that Ramaswamy could be Trump’s chosen VP candidate.
