Nawazuddin Siddiqui has offered a glimpse into his luxurious bungalow, showcasing his unique design sensibilities. In an exclusive interview with Film Companion, the acclaimed actor opened the doors to his stunning home, revealing that he designed it himself. Nawazuddin, who has a background in architecture, shared that he even sketched the initial designs for his residence.
The house, named Nawab, features striking blue and white exteriors and exudes a casual luxury. The exterior boasts an inviting, cool vibe with an abundance of plants and trees, while the interior combines handsome art, comfortable furniture, and a plethora of books, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Nawazuddin explained his choice of decor, which includes paintings of famous personalities and movie posters rather than his own photos. “I will never want to see my face plastered across my home,” he said in Hindi, emphasizing his preference for a more modest and timeless aesthetic.
The living room of Nawab is both timeless and intimate, featuring rustic decor that complements the overall ambiance. In contrast, the dining area offers a more formal yet understated elegance, with grey and wooden chairs paired with sheer white curtains.
Throughout the duplex, awards and film posters highlight Nawazuddin’s illustrious career. The actor has been deeply involved in every aspect of creating this tranquil haven, including the outdoor seating on the terrace, which features marble flooring and glass doors. To enhance the greenery, money plants have been strategically placed, adding to the serene environment.
Nawazuddin, renowned for his roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox, Raman Raghav 2.0, and Manto, is now gearing up for the release of his latest project, Rautu Ka Raaz. In this film, he portrays a cop in the picturesque village of Rautu Ki Beli in Uttarakhand. The story revolves around a town that hasn’t seen a murder in over fifteen years, creating a unique narrative backdrop.
Rautu Ka Raaz also stars Rajesh Kumar, Atul Tiwari, and Narayani Shastri in supporting roles. The film premiered at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) last year and is now set for its OTT release on June 28 on ZEE5.
Nawazuddin’s home not only reflects his architectural talent but also his deep appreciation for art and tranquility, making it a true sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of Mumbai.
