Due to an active western disturbance in the state, a temperature rise was observed. Additionally, light to moderate rain was recorded in around a dozen cities of the state. Following the rain, dense fog was witnessed in the capital city of Jaipur. Shekhwati, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Churu and Hanumangarh also experienced cloudy mornings.
Due to a new western disturbance becoming active in some parts of the state, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder might occur in some parts of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions from 3 to 5 February. A possibility of hailstorms at isolated places is also expected on 3-4 February. Alwar and Mount Abu were the coldest with minus 10 in the state.
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain was recorded in Fatehpur, Neemkathana, Shahpura, Shrimadhopur, Buhana, Dantaramgarh, Jhunjhunu, Malsisar, Rajgarh, Sardarshahar, Taranagar, Churu and Bikaner. Highest rainfall of 10 mm was recorded in Rajgarh and Sadulshahr. It was a cold day in Alwar and Dungarpur.
Barmer was the hottest at 29.9 degrees and Jodhpur experienced the warmest night at 17.3 degrees. The maximum temperature of Jaipur was recorded at 27.3 degrees and the minimum temperature was 14.4 degrees. Jaipur remained cloudy in the morning and dense fog was seen in rural areas.
The climate of Jaipur is in the yellow zone. Jaipur’s air quality was recorded at 194 on Thursday. Apart from this, the AQI of Shastri Nagar was recorded as 174, 202 in Adarsh Nagar, 179 in Police Commissionerate, 170 in Muralipura, 225 in Sitapura RIICO and 194 in Mansarovar.
