Sikh in Space: Indian Origin Businessman Boards Blue Origin Space Craft

Blue Origin launched their NS-34 flight on Sunday 3rd August 2025. It is part of their famous New Shepard, space tourism program

The NS-34 marked Blue Origin's 34th flight under the New Shepard program and 14th human space mission

Aboard the NS-34 were six people with varying backgrounds and a shared interest in space travel

One of them was the Indian born Arvinder (Arvi) Singh Bahal,  a real estate investor born in Agra, India, and now a naturalized U.S. citizen

Bahal has been a life long adventurer and in his long list of impressive travel stories include visiting every country in the world, skydiving Mount Everest and the Pyramids of Giza and others

He also holds a private pilot’s license and also flies helicopters

Reportedly, he had been looking for an opportunity to visit space for more than a decade and had also placed a deposit  with the  space tourism company Virgin Galactic founded by Richard Branson

The flight was a success and serves as another big step in space travel
