NAVRATRE DAY 2 Goddess Brahmacharini
During her intense penance, Goddess Parvati abstained from food and water for thousands of years, growing weak.
Seeing her plight, the gods granted her blessings for all her desires to be fulfilled and assured her marriage to Lord Shiv.
As a result of her rigorous devotion, Parvati was bestowed the names Aparna and Brahmcharini.
During Navratri festivities, the second day is dedicated to honoring Mata Brahmacharini, the Goddess
of Penance.
She is holding a rosary in one hand and a kamandal in the other while wearing a white saree.
According to astrology, individuals with Mangal Dosha in their horoscope should fast on this day and offer sincere prayers to Maa Brahmcharini.
It is believed that Maa Brahmcharini, the magnanimous deity, bestows upon her devotees the power to fulfill their desires.
