ISRO’s 100th mission countdown began on Tuesday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota
The mission is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, under the new ISRO Chairman, V Narayanan
Narayanan assumed office on January 13, and this is the 17th flight of the GSLV rocket
The GSLV will be used for this mission because of its indigenous cryogenic upper stage
The NVS-02 satellite will also be a part of the Navigation with Indian Constellation, which provides accurate position,velocity, and timing information
Applications of the satellite include terrestrial, aerial, and maritime navigation
