Donald Trump Responds To Criticism on Uranium trade with Russia, "I don't know anything"

While addressing the press on Tuesday, Donald Trump was asked a question regarding the U.S.'s trade with Russia

In a video shared by ANI, a reporter can be heard asking Trump, "U.S. imports Russian Uranium, Chemicals, Fertilizers while criticising their energy imports"

Trump responds to this question by saying, "I don't know anything about it, I'd have to check, but we'll get back to you on that"

This comes after Trump imposed 25% tariffs on Indian imports into the U.S. In his announcement he also criticised India for being Russia's biggest buyer of enerfy alongside China

In response to Trump, India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal pointed out U.S.'s continued trade with Russia for uranium hexafluoride, palladium and others to support their industries 

Regardless of tariffs, India has decided to stand firm and continue trading with Russia. While also trying to reach a trade deal with America

In her statement, Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the ongoing tariffs situation and said that U.S. is "unable to accept the erosion of its dominance," making its stand clear
