Oslo, Norway, secured the second position on the list with its initiatives focused on enhancing the overall quality of life for its residents
Canberra, Australia, placed third in the index, receiving high marks for its low air pollution, abundance of green spaces, and strong sense of inclusion for minority groups
Geneva, Switzerland, secured the fourth spot in the Smart City Index, achieving top marks in healthcare and education
Singapore came in fifth this year due to its excellent scores in safety, connectivity, online reporting, and efficient documentation processes
Copenhagen, Denmark, took sixth place on the list due to its achievements in various sustainable development initiatives
Another Swiss city on the list is Lausanne, which ranked 7th in the index despite having a population of around 150,000
London secured the eighth position in the index this year, attributed to its efficient online services, such as transportation bookings and readily available WiFi
Helsinki achieved ninth place this year, excelling in basic sanitation, education, and public safety
Abu Dhabi placed 10th in the index, performing exceptionally in transportation ease, online booking, sanitation, and digital skills
