A woman is being celebrated as a hero after she stopped a runaway truck from causing a potential disaster. Captured on CCTV, the dramatic incident shows the truck slipping off a platform, only for the woman to leap into the driver’s seat and engage the handbrake just in time.

The rescue unfolded while the woman was passing by. As two men attempted to manually halt the truck, the woman’s quick thinking and decisive action ultimately prevented a potentially catastrophic accident.
