In a bold show of support for Donald Trump, entrepreneur and GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy arrived at a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina, riding on the back of a garbage truck while sporting an orange safety vest. This stunt was part of a wider response from Trump’s campaign to recent comments from President Joe Biden, who labeled Trump’s supporters as “garbage” in a speech a week before the election.

Posting on X, Ramaswamy defended Trump and his supporters, stating, “We’re not the garbage, we’re taking out the garbage.” The garbage truck appearance has since gone viral, sparking reactions on social media, including praise from Elon Musk, who reposted an image of Trump’s own garbage truck rally and called it “Genius-level trolling.”

The “garbage truck” theme gained more attention after Trump, donning an orange vest himself, held a press conference from a garbage truck’s passenger seat, directly addressing Biden’s comments. At a later rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Trump doubled down, declaring, “Kamala and Joe call us all garbage. I call you the heart and soul of America.” He affirmed his supporters as “higher quality” than what he described as “crooked Joe and lying Kamala.”

Ramaswamy’s high-profile gesture marks another significant moment in a highly charged campaign season, with Republicans rallying around Trump and countering the Biden administration’s remarks in visually striking ways.
