This sultry dance number showcases the two leads along with numerous backup dancers performing in a dimly lit setting. While the catchy rhythm has gotten fans dancing along, the choreography has sparked mixed reviews. Many viewers have labeled some of the dance steps, particularly those assigned to Triptii, as cringe-worthy and embarrassing.

Choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and sung by Shilpa Rao, “Mere Mehboob” presents Triptii Dimri in a provocative light, requiring her to execute pelvic thrusts and other suggestive moves while lying on the floor. Following the song’s release, snippets of these dance moves were shared across social media platforms, with many users on Twitter and Reddit criticizing the choreography.
One Reddit user commented, “This is embarrassing for Triptii. So cringe,” while the most liked comment read, “OMG the choreographer needs to be put in jail what the actual f*** are they making her do!” A tweet noted that although Triptii may not be the best dancer, the choreographer should face criticism for the awkward movements in the song: “Tripti is a bad dancer but sack the choreographer!
