A Lebanese journalist sustained minor injuries after an Israeli missile struck his home while he was conducting a live interview. The incident, involving Fadi Boudaya, editor-in-chief of the Miraya International Network, highlights the intensifying conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Boudaya, who is known to hold pro-Hezbollah views, later reassured his audience through a post on X (formerly Twitter), thanking his supporters for their concern. “Thank God, I am fine, thanks to God and His blessings upon us, and we return to continue our media duty in support of the resistance,” he wrote.

Rising Tensions Between Israel and Hezbollah

The attack on Boudaya occurred amid escalating violence between Israel and Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group. The latest tensions began in October after the Gaza war erupted, leading to ongoing cross-border hostilities.

In recent days, the conflict has worsened, particularly after a cyberattack targeted Hezbollah’s communication devices, including pagers and walkie-talkies. Hezbollah has blamed Israel for the attack.

Israeli Strikes and Hezbollah Retaliation

On Monday, Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon reportedly killed over 550 people, including 50 children. Following the attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Lebanese civilians to evacuate, stating, “Once the operation is finished, they can return to their homes.”

The next day, Israeli airstrikes in Beirut killed Ibrahim Qubaisi, the head of Hezbollah’s missile division, alongside two other senior commanders. Qubaisi was identified as a crucial figure in Hezbollah’s missile operations, a loss that has further intensified the conflict.

In retaliation, Hezbollah fired over 300 rockets into northern Israel, targeting various cities, as cross-border clashes escalated to new heights.

The attack on Fadi Boudaya and the intensifying cross-border conflict underline the gravity of the ongoing crisis between Israel and Hezbollah. As both sides continue to escalate their military actions, the region remains on edge, with civilians caught in the crossfire.
