Nothing pairs with tea time like a good biscuit. Whether you prefer chocolate, cream-filled, or glucose varieties, everyone has a favorite snack. Biscuits made from whole wheat (atta) are often considered healthier compared to those made with regular all-purpose flour. To give a glimpse into how these atta biscuits are produced, a foodie page on Instagram shared a video from a biscuit factory in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. However, after seeing how the biscuits are made, viewers expressed their discontent, particularly over hygiene issues, in the comments section.

The video starts with a giant container holding a paste made of ghee, atta, and sugar. A machine is then used to form the dough. Following this, we see the dough being placed into a large wok, where a person, using bare hands, grabs a chunk and feeds it into a machine that cuts the dough into biscuit shapes. These biscuits are arranged on trays, which are then placed onto a long stand and inserted into a large oven. Once baked, the biscuits are taken out to be packaged.

The post’s text read, “Aata ka biscuit aaisa banta hai factory mae. [This is how atta biscuits are made in a factory.] Check this out.”

Unsurprisingly, the video garnered a lot of reactions in the comments. One user commented, “Sugar (cross emoji) Poison (tick emoji).” Another remarked, “No hygiene, Will never eat.” Someone else went on to describe the factory as “so very dirty.” Another viewer bluntly said, “Hygiene left the chat. This looks completely unhygienic.”
