Tesla CEO Elon Musk has intensified his support for former US President Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 presidential election, pledging to pay up to $1 million per day to Pennsylvania voters who sign his America PAC petition. The petition, which advocates for free speech and the right to bear arms, is part of Musk’s broader effort to rally support for Trump’s re-election.
During a solo rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Musk lamented that mainstream media outlets have largely ignored his petition campaign. “One of the challenges we’re facing is getting people to know about this petition because the legacy media won’t report on it,” Musk told the crowd. He suggested that his bold financial offer would generate the necessary attention, adding, “This news is going to fly.”
In a dramatic gesture, Musk selected an audience member on the spot as the first recipient of the $1 million reward, on the condition they become a spokesperson for the petition.

Musk began his pro-Trump campaign events in Pennsylvania on Thursday, aiming to sway undecided voters in the critical swing state. Along with promoting Trump, Musk is using these events to garner support for his America PAC, which has been actively backing the former president’s re-election bid.
Since July, Musk has personally contributed at least $75 million to Trump’s campaign through the PAC, drawing attention from both Republicans and Democrats.
Musk’s active involvement in the tight presidential race has sparked concern among Democrats. Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman noted Musk’s ability to reach voters that the Democratic Party has traditionally struggled to connect with. “Musk is incredibly popular, and he has an appeal to a demographic that Democrats have struggled with,” Fetterman said earlier this week.
As the election approaches, Musk’s influence and financial support for Trump are likely to become key factors in the race.
