A man who tried to play with a venomous cobra while intoxicated ended up regretting his reckless behavior after being hospitalized. Reports indicate that Madhubabu Nagaraju was heavily drunk when he encountered the cobra and decided to interact with the dangerous snake.

The incident took place near a college in Kadiri, Sri Sathya Sai district, Andhra Pradesh. The cobra had entered the college grounds, and Nagaraju spotted it as it was trying to retreat into some bushes. He seized the snake and brought it back onto the road, where he began ‘playing’ with it, ignoring urgent warnings from onlookers.

Take a look at the viral video:

After an hour of provoking the snake, the cobra finally bit Nagaraju. Bystanders quickly called for an ambulance, and he was taken to the hospital.

“Instead of making video, someone could have pulled him aside and allowed the snake to escape. Snake was very much patient for long time,” remarked one X user in the comments.

“Observe how the snake gave warning and hesitated to bite for the maximum possible extent. Animals are more sensible than humans,” another comment noted.

This incident underscores the importance of respecting wildlife and maintaining a safe distance. Experts and authorities in India have consistently advised against disturbing wildlife, including snakes, and recommend contacting the forest department if a dangerous animal is encountered.

Recently, a family in Karnataka discovered a 12-foot snake in their garden and contacted rescuers. The footage of the large snake went viral on social media before it was safely captured and released back into the wild.
