This morning, hundreds of eager Apple enthusiasts gathered outside the company’s flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai to purchase the newly released iPhone 16 series. Launched earlier this month during Apple’s Glowtime event, the excitement surrounding the new devices was palpable.
The Apple stores in BKC, Mumbai, and Saket, Delhi, experienced significant foot traffic as fans lined up to buy the latest iPhone models. Footage shared by news agency ANI showcased the long queues at Select City Walk in Saket, where the line of customers stretched across the entire mall floor.

Over 37 million iPhone models were reserved in the pre-sale before the iPhone 16 series went on sale on September 20.
Today, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 lineup in nearly 60 countries, including the US, China, Australia, and South Korea. The series features four models: the standard iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, and the premium iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
For the first time, Apple plans to assemble the iPhone Pro series in India; however, these models will be available for purchase at a later date, according to sources.
This launch marks a significant change, as the iPhone Pro series is being sold at lower prices compared to previous versions, primarily due to recent cuts in import duties. The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at ₹1,19,900, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at ₹1,44,900. In contrast, last year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were launched at starting prices of ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,59,900, respectively.
