A video of President Joe Biden’s latest verbal misstep quickly gained traction on social media Wednesday, igniting widespread discussion. While addressing world leaders during a speech in Manhattan, Biden mistakenly welcomed attendees with, “Welcome to Washington,” despite being in New York. This incident is part of a troubling pattern of public gaffes that have drawn considerable media scrutiny.

The 81-year-old president made the comment at the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel, just a short walk from the iconic Chrysler Building. In response to the video, one user on X remarked, “And to think, Democrats would still want him to run for a second term. Never listen to Democrats when you want the truth. Ever.”

During the speech, Biden addressed a fellow leader as “Mr. President” without specifying their name. This blunder follows a similar slip at the NATO summit in July, where he mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin.” On that occasion, he also called Vice President Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump,” leading to further embarrassment.

As Biden continues to face scrutiny for his public appearances, concerns regarding his physical and cognitive health have intensified. Reports indicate that a Parkinson’s specialist has made frequent visits to the White House, with at least nine consultations recorded. Speculation is growing about the impact of his health on his ability to run for reelection, especially as the presidential race heats up. Earlier this summer, Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed Vice President Harris.

With pressures mounting for him to step aside, the Democratic Party is reportedly grappling with serious concerns about Biden’s fitness for the presidency, raising questions about the future direction of the party.
