Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has been accused of not repaying Rs 2.5 crores. For the unversed, the actress often takes the internet by storm with her sexy bikini photos.
Ajay Kumar Singh, a film producer registered a case of fraud, intimidation, and cheque bounce against the actress and her partner. A report in India Today revealed that the actress has been booked under sections 420 and 120 of the CrPC after she did not appear before the court despite multiple summons.
Ajay Kumar Singh alleged that the actress and her business partner took Rs 2.5 crores from him for the making of the film Desi Magic. Ajay added the actress and her business partner had said that they would “return the money along with interest, but it was never released.” Further, the report claims that when the filmmaker asked the actress to return his money, she refused. After a lot of delays, Ameesha gave him two cheques of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 50 lakh in October 2018, which bounced.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Amessha made her debut with the super hit film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. The actress will next be seen in Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 with Sunny Deol. The romantic period drama is ready to hit the theatres on August 11, 2023.
