Kirandeep Kaur, wife of pro-Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh, reached Amritsar Airport on Thursday to catch a London flight but was taken into custody before she could board the flight. According to sources, Kirandeep Kaur reached the airport at 11.40 am.
Seeing the name in the list, immigration stopped her and questioned her. Security agencies also interrogated her. According to sources, she had reached the airport with her family.
Amritpal Singh has been absconding since 18 April, after which his parents and wife were under strict police protection in village Jallupur Kheda. It has been learnt that Amritpal’s wife Kirandeep Kaur is allegedly working with Babbar Khalsa, a terrorist organization. Earlier, she had worked in an online company before marriage. She came in contact with Amritpal a year ago through social media. Kirandeep Kaur is a citizen of the United Kingdom (UK). Kirandeep’s grandfather had moved to the UK in 1951 and since then, her family has been living there. Earlier, Kirandeep Kaur had said that she had left her job and family for Amritpal and that she would not leave the fugitive leader under any circumstances.
