Vivo introduced its latest V-series smartphone on Wednesday, the Vivo V40e, in India, targeting the under Rs 30,000 price segment.
The new device is equipped with a powerful 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and features a 120Hz refresh rate on its 6.7-inch display, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a robust 5500mAh battery. This marks the third V-series phone launched by Vivo in India, following the earlier releases of the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro models.
The Vivo V40e is priced at Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB version costs Rs 30,999. Customers can choose between Mint Green and Royal Bronze color options. Vivo is offering an instant discount of 10% for users of SBI and HDFC Bank, along with a 10% exchange bonus. Pre-booking for the Vivo V40e begins today, with sales starting on October 2, 2024, available through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart, and various retail partners.
The Vivo V40e boasts a 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals. It is also rated IP64 for dust and water resistance. The smartphone operates on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Running on Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14, the device also includes a substantial 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.
For photography, the Vivo V40e is equipped with a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front camera also boasts a 50-megapixel sensor, ideal for selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras are capable of recording in 4K, with the rear camera offering Ultra-stable 4K video recording thanks to the combined efforts of OIS and EIS, ensuring steady footage. Additionally, the phone includes a dedicated Vlog movie creator mode for enhanced video production.
