In an interaction with The Daily Guardian Review, Vaibhav Singh, Co-Founder, Visit Health, said: “We are providing flexible and customised employee health and wellness benefits; we harness the power of technology to customise apps and programs at the employee level.” Excerpts:

Q: How is Visit, a Healthtech platform, redefining employee wellness?

A: Employee wellness should be an organization’s ultimate priority as they contribute to the growth of an organization. Traditionally, employee health policies meant hospitalisation benefits, but now, employee wellness is a broader term that includes mental wellness, fitness, nutrition, diagnostics, doctor appointments, etc. In light of this transition, Visit—an integrated Healthtech platform —bridges the enormous gap between primary and secondary care for employees by providing unlimited access packages to employees and their dependents. Visit has designed customised corporate solutions under OPD with cashless and reimbursement models; pre-employment and annual health check-ups; gym and studio memberships; comprehensive EAP; Telemedicine; and wellness for employees. Being a high-tech-driven platform, Visit provides 24×7 access to on-demand healthcare services to the underserved Indian populace.

Q: How is Visit leveraging technology to offer customised and flexible benefits to employees?

A: Visit follows the ‘one size doesn’t fit all’ policy. By providing flexible and customised employee health and wellness benefits, it harnesses the power of technology to customise apps and programs at the employee level. The Visit app has different dashboards catering to the specific needs of each company and its employees. Our application uses a data-smart approach to engage and guide users throughout their care journey around the four wellness pillars: physical, emotional, legal, and financial. We promote habit formation through gamification, such as: conducting regular step challenges and health-a-thons, along with reward programs called FITCoins that act as a digital currency to redeem discount offers on premium deals. We have integrated our tech and product to ensure a smooth journey for all employees, bringing together the benefits from the Corporate, TPA, broker, and insurer.

Q: How has Visit created a vast cashless network for employees?

A: The key problems in the Indian healthcare industry today are accessibility and having a one-stop solution for all primary and preventive healthcare needs, i.e., before the need for hospitalisation arises. Furthermore, the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic showcased the entire healthcare infrastructure and has put telehealth at the forefront of today’s healthcare needs in India. That’s where Visit comes in-to have 24×7, on-demand access to healthcare and services at your fingertips. In a short span, Visit Health has created a vast cashless network with healthcare centers, including over 33,000 doctors for cashless consultation, 7,000+ pin codes for medicine delivery, and more than 4,300 pin codes for diagnostic tests. In addition, it boasts a combination of cashless and reimbursement solutions to provide flexibility to its users, whether employees or their dependents. In the case of reimbursements, the platform uses AI technology to expedite the processing of reimbursements within hours of the request.

Q: What are the short-term and long-term opportunities in the health-tech space?

A: Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the health-tech sector has seen a sudden boom, more so in the case of primary health care. A sharp rise in the number of online consultations, online medicine orders, mental health support, etc. has been recorded lately. Despite the skyrocketing demand for healthcare services, there is a perennial supply crunch in India.

Most of the players operating in the retail space are it credit card providers, smartphone companies, or gyms, are looking to offer value-added healthcare services to their customers. Due to this, the market is rife with business opportunities for players like us, as we can plug these retail distributors into our network of doctors, diagnostic centers, and pharmacies. Our quick and seamless tech integration within their existing system will allow them to offer add-on healthcare services to their end-users without changing the end-user experience.

Q: What are Visit’s business plans for 2022?

A: As a holistic health benefits platform, Visit envisions being a leader in the employee health benefits space. We are onboarding more doctors to expand our OPD, diagnostic, and health check-up network and aim to be the go-to service provider in Digital Health and Primary Care in India. Visit should be as synonymous with health & wellness as Myntra as a fashion marketplace or Netflix for OTT content. On the technology front, Visit continues to focus on upgrading tech integration and solutions for all stakeholders’ seamless care journey. Additionally, it plans to improve its gamification process; multifaceted with a new, more engaging, and exclusive rewards system.
