He became the first player in IPL history to amass 400 runs in a season for 10 consecutive years, adding yet another impressive achievement to his illustrious career.
Virat Kohli has now outdone his compatriot Suresh Raina and Australian batting sensation David Warner, both of whom have achieved the feat of scoring 400 or more runs in a season nine times throughout their IPL careers.
Alongside the current IPL 2024 season, Virat achieved this milestone in 2023, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, and 2011.
During the 2016 season, Virat displayed extraordinary performance, scoring a remarkable 973 runs at an impressive average of 81.08. This included four centuries and seven half-centuries, a record that still stands unmatched.
In his IPL career spanning 246 matches, Virat has accumulated a total of 7,693 runs at an average of 38.27, showcasing his prowess with eight centuries and 53 half-centuries to his credit.
