Mishquat, a resident of Mumbai, has spent nearly Rs 9.4 lakh on her daily Starbucks cinnamon coffee orders through Zomato. To celebrate her loyalty, the company featured her in a new ad film and offered customers a special discount code in her honor.
In the ad shared by Zomato’s marketing head, Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, Mishquat’s mother is seen reacting with shock upon discovering her daughter’s coffee expenses. Demanding the money back, she is interrupted by the store manager, who invites her to try the ‘Mishquat special’ coffee. After tasting it, she becomes emotional, understanding why her daughter loves it so much. The ad concludes with the company offering a discount code, “Mishquat,” to customers.
Sawhney shared the video on LinkedIn, stating, “Mishquat, from Mumbai, has ordered for over Rs. 9.4Lacs from 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐬 on Zomato. This video is our tribute to her. Special thanks to her mom for letting us create this.”

The ad sparked a variety of reactions, with one user joking, “Mishquat’s Starbucks order could fund a startup.” Another praised Zomato’s approach, writing, “Majedaar. It’s amazing how you guys literally put the consumer at the heart of the content. From Biryani & Chai lovers to Starbucks Fans moms. Have managed to pull a great performance out of ALL of them.”
A third user humorously commented, “I have done the same amount of order, but for jalebi. Where’s my ad film?”
Back in 2023, another Starbucks-related story went viral when a man made headlines for placing a Zomato order from inside a Starbucks outlet and receiving his coffee at nearly half the price listed in-store.
