A complaint has been registered in Mumbai against well-known social media personalities Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as ‘BeerBiceps,’ and Apoorva Mukhija, popularly called ‘The Rebel Kid,’ along with comedian Samay Raina. The complaint alleges the use of ‘abusive language’ on their show, India’s Got Latent. The show’s organizers have also been named in the case. The complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, demanding strict action against those involved.

Controversial Episode Sparks Backlash

The controversy arose after an episode featuring Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Mukhija on Raina’s show. During the discussion, Allahbadia posed an inappropriate ‘would you rather’ question related to intimate relationships involving a contestant’s parents. The clip quickly went viral, drawing heavy criticism from social media users who called out the distasteful remark.

Political Reactions and Public Outrage

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the controversy when questioned by reporters. He acknowledged the issue, stating, “I have come to know about it but have not seen it yet. Freedom of speech exists, but it ends when it infringes on others’ rights. If societal norms are violated, action should be taken.”

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also condemned the remarks, calling them “perverse” and emphasizing that such behavior should not be normalized under the guise of creativity.

Social Media Backlash

Netizens widely criticized the incident, with one user commenting, “Freedom of speech is a double-edged sword. Sadly, it sometimes allows mediocrity and shock value to pass as content.” Another wrote, “This is neither comedy nor adult humor; it’s sick perversion!” Some users suggested that the incident exposed Allahbadia’s true nature, claiming his “mask had slipped.”

Creators Remain Silent

Despite the mounting criticism, neither Ranveer Allahbadia, nor the other content creators involved have made any statements regarding the controversy.

Award-Winning Creator Now in Controversy

Ranveer Allahbadia was previously honored at the National Creators Award held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented him with the ‘Disruptor of the Year’ award. However, the recent backlash has now placed him at the center of a major controversy.
