In one of the most unexpected and entertaining world record attempts ever, an Irish fashion retailer, Sean Murray from Skibbereen, County Cork, stunned everyone by unclasping 91 bras in just one minute using only one hand.
This unusual challenge was not done for fun or fame alone. It was part of a month-long campaign to raise funds for a breast cancer charity, making the attempt meaningful, fun, and inspiring all at once.
Training That Left Many Curious
To prepare for the record, Sean treated it like a serious athletic mission. Every morning, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, his store, Sean Murray Fashions, remained mysteriously closed for “staff training.” Only later did customers learn what this “training” really meant.

Sean and his female staff members practiced on nine mannequins, perfecting the speed and precision needed to unclasp bras with just a single hand and without fumbling.
Rules of the Cringy Record
The record attempt took place over the weekend under official supervision. The rules were strict:
Only one hand could be used.
No mistakes Each clasp had to be opened correctly.
The timer stopped at exactly 60 seconds.
Sean moved with lightning speed. Click—open. Click—open. One after another.
When the timer finally stopped, he had achieved what no one expected:
What Motivated Sean to Do This
Sean says the motivation was simple: breast cancer awareness and fundraising. The challenge grabbed attention, attracted donations, and encouraged people to talk about breast cancer openly.
“If something unusual can raise awareness, why not? It was fun, but the mission was serious,” he said.
