Great pioneer of women’s movement in India, Savitri Bai Phule was a teacher, social reformer, educationalist, and poet from Maharashtra. Along with her husband Jyotiba Phule, she played a vital role in providing education to women in 19th century India. Today on her death anniversary the twitter was filled with tweets in remembrance of her legacy.
