A lady has posted a video on X alleging a Blinkit delivery rider touched her inappropriately. She stated that she had to place the package before her to prevent the rider from “touching her chest” again. She also claimed that the company failed to take necessary action over the issue.
This is what happened with me today while ordering from Blinkit. The delivery boy asked my address again and then inappropriately touched me. This is NOT acceptable. @letsblinkit please take strict action. #Harassment #Safety @letsblinkit .is women’s safety a joke in India?” The X user posted with a video.
In a subsequent tweet, the woman alleged, “He attempted to touch me inappropriately; I attempted to cover up my breast with the parcel so he won’t touch my breast again! Take strong actions,” and included, “I also have proof of him where he was pointing with an arrow, whether he knew it was my house or not. But I had to pretend like ‘yes, yes’ so that he doesn’t get to know my actual address.”
Did Blinkit Respond?
“Blinkit has reached out to me, and I show them the proof. They are cancelling his contract, blocking him! “That’s it!” wrote the woman, adding, “Blinkit was not believing in my words/verbally that it happened until I gave them proof.” They used to say first they would issue only a final warning and would instruct him on keeping distances from females, and if anything happened again in the future, he would end the contract, and only when I presented them with evidence did they accept it and take steps. Let me ask them, couldn’t they have taught it before? What were they doing?
If I had no evidence otherwise, no actions would have been taken seriously?
The lady explained that she did not report an FIR since her family would learn about the incident in case she reported a police case, which would bring problems to her.

What does the video show?
In the video, a guy in Blinkit’s uniform gives a packet to a lady and gets money from her. Subsequently, he puts out his hand to give back the change. The lady immediately responds and inserts the packet in a manner that covers her chest.

Someone wrote, “Did you lodge a police complaint?” Someone else added, “Yes, it can be easily seen he intentionally brought his hand near your upper body and touched you inappropriately. Your flinching can be noticed. You’re lucky or well equipped camera-wise; without this recording, it would be difficult to pin his offense. Take it up strongly.” The third one posted, “My mind and soul are shaken seeing this. He has traumatized her for life. The audacity of that man! Please get him punished. There should be some kind of harsh punishment (like in the UAE) that men fear even thinking of doing something like this.”
