A Bengaluru man has filed a police complaint, accusing his wife of extortion, harassment, and imposing bizarre conditions on their marriage.

Husband Alleges Financial Exploitation and Threats

In a shocking case from Bengaluru, a man has accused his wife of demanding ₹5,000 every night for physical intimacy and pressuring him into financial commitments. The complaint, filed at a local police station, reveals that the couple married in 2022, but their relationship has been far from normal.

According to the FIR, the husband claims that his wife never allowed a conventional marital life. Whenever he attempted to get close, she allegedly threatened suicide, leaving behind handwritten death notes to blackmail him. Additionally, he stated that she attacked his private parts and even attempted to kill him.

Wife’s Demand: ₹60 Lakh for Parents’ House and ₹75,000 EMI

The situation worsened when the wife allegedly demanded ₹60 lakh to purchase a house for her parents. She also pressured her husband to pay an EMI of ₹75,000 per month. When he refused, she reportedly denied physical intimacy and warned that she would file a harassment case against him.

The husband, hoping to improve their relationship, suggested having a child. However, he was left stunned when his wife allegedly insisted on postponing parenthood until they turned 60. When he brought up divorce, she allegedly demanded ₹45 lakh as a settlement.

Wife’s Counter Allegations: Harassment and Mistreatment

On the other hand, the wife has accused the husband and his family of physical abuse, dowry harassment, and treating her like a servant. She claimed that her mother-in-law even suggested installing a camera in the bedroom.

She further alleged that she was deprived of basic necessities, including good food, and that her husband neglected household expenses. Defending her stance on parenthood, she stated, “How can I think of having a child in such a toxic environment? I expected a better life.”

Following the husband’s complaint, the police summoned the wife for questioning. In her statement, she reportedly showed no interest in continuing the marriage. An NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) has been registered, and the case is under investigation.

The husband has now sought police protection from both his wife and mother-in-law until the divorce process is completed. Authorities are currently reviewing evidence and statements to determine the next course of action.
