The Linkedin page of former US President Barack Obama is showing the photo of the existing US President Donald Trump's photo, entertaining netizens. The reason behind it is the way Linkedin links profiles: Obama's 'Experience' field mentions him as 'President of the United States at the White House'. As the White House's LinkedIn page now carries Trump's photograph, it automatically appears on Obama's page as well.
Obama, the 44th US President and a Democrat, has had a strained relationship with Republican Trump. Yet, the two were recently seen conversing at President Jimmy Carter's funeral in January. Addressing a viral clip of their chat, Trump said, "I didn't realize how friendly it looked. I said, 'Boy, they look like two people that like each other.' And we probably do. We have a little different philosophies, right? But we probably do."
The quirky LinkedIn mistake spread rapidly, with a post about it amassing 1.4 million views on X. People's reactions were split:
"This is the kind of pettiness that causes Trump's favorability to decline day by day." posted one.

Another declared it the "Greatest troll of all time."
Others criticized Obama for having a LinkedIn account, with one of them stating, "Imagine having a LinkedIn account when you are a former president with no chance of finding work. The narcissism levels are off the charts."
A Trump supporter added, "Whoever made the decision needs an immediate raise!"
While Obama himself had no role in the odd situation, the incident shows how digital quirks can spark widespread conversations online.
