What Happened To Astrologer Who Predicted Kamala Harris’ 306-Seat Win and Presidency?

President-elect Donald Trump has nearly secured his return to the White House after defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Elections. Trump, aged 78, triumphed with 295 Electoral College votes, a result that closely aligned with predictions made by Indian astrologer Prathosh Gopalakrishnan for Harris.

On September 9, Gopalakrishnan, a Vedic astrologer with 20 years of experience, confidently predicted that Harris would win the presidency. He tweeted, “Kamala Iyer Harris @KamalaHarris will be the First Brahmin Women President of USA in November 5 2024 with 306 seats precisely. As Predicted by my Deep Astrology Analysis and She is going to create History in 38 days from now. Power of Rahu Magic Unstoppable.”

However, when the final vote counting concluded on November 6, Harris was trailing Trump by a significant margin, ultimately falling 80 votes short of the 306 seats Gopalakrishnan had forecasted. The astrologer’s prediction soon became a topic of online debate and criticism, particularly from Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, who pointed out the inaccuracies.

Acknowledging his mistake, Gopalakrishnan responded with humility in a follow-up tweet: “Shri Krishna blessing. Taken all your feedback humbly. Will course correct and improve myself positively. Mundane [astrology] is extremely difficult. It went wrong. Hare Krishna blessing. No political prediction or mundane till Shri Krishna wishes. Sarvam Krishnaarpanamastu.”

Known for making bold predictions, Gopalakrishnan often appears on online news platforms to share his astrological insights. Despite his high-profile forecasts, his track record has been far from flawless. He had also previously predicted outcomes for various state and parliamentary elections, including the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, where he asserted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure 245 seats “at any cost.” He regularly invoked Shani (the Vedic term for Saturn) and Lord Krishna, claiming that only they possessed true knowledge, dismissing exit polls as inaccurate.
