In a remarkable event in Vadodara, Gujarat, a local wildlife rescuer performed CPR to revive a snake. Yash Tadvi, the rescuer, responded to an emergency call about an unconscious snake in the area. When he arrived, he discovered a non-venomous checkered keelback, about a foot long, lying unresponsive. Despite the snake’s condition, Tadvi remained hopeful it could be revived.
“The snake showed no movement, but I believed it could be saved,” Tadvi explained. Without delay, he began CPR by holding the snake’s neck, opening its mouth, and blowing air into it. He repeated the process for around three minutes. Though the initial two attempts showed no progress, the snake eventually moved on the third attempt.
