The incident occurred when an X user, Nick Speer, mistakenly tagged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal instead of Srinivas in a tweet urging him to keep Perplexity AI unbiased. The tweet read, “@ArvindKejriwal please keep perplexity as unbiased as possible and be wary of biased LLMs.”

Srinivas, known for his wit, quickly addressed the confusion with a light-hearted response: “I am not in Tihar Jail right now.” His reply, a playful nod to Kejriwal’s recent legal troubles, quickly went viral, amassing over 346,000 views and 4,000 likes within hours.
