Watch: Jamie Lever’s Hilarious Impressions Of Celebs Reacting To ‘Tauba Tauba’ Go Viral

The hit song ‘Tauba Tauba’ is currently the most trending Bollywood track. Since its release on July 2, the Punjabi song has become extremely popular. Amidst its rising fame, comedian Jamie Lever, daughter of renowned actor and comedian Johnny Lever, shared a video where she humorously imagines how celebrities might react to ‘Tauba Tauba.’ In her now-viral skit, Jamie flawlessly imitates celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Farah Khan, Sridevi, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Rakhi Sawant.

Jamie Lever expertly captures the accents, tones, and speaking styles of these celebrities. While imitating Kareena Kapoor, she uses phrases like ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Fab,’ which the ‘Jab We Met’ actress frequently says. She then perfectly emulates director Farah Khan’s deep voice along with the high-pitched tone of the late actress Sridevi. Jamie also mimics the South Bombay accents of Sonam Kapoor and Ananya Panday. She accurately portrays Kangana Ranaut’s slightly disapproving tone and concludes by imitating Rakhi Sawant’s self-congratulatory manner.

When one closes their eyes, it briefly seems as though the celebrities themselves are speaking. This video has amassed over 1 million likes on Instagram within a single day. Jamie Lever mentioned in an Instagram Story that her video has already surpassed 10 million views.

Praising Jamie Lever’s skills, an Instagram user commented, “I have never seen Kareena’s impression so well.” Someone said, “Including Sridevi in this was WILD.” Another Instagram user remarked, “This reel deserves an award! You are incredible.” Showering one more praise, an Instagram user wrote, “Such a crappy day today and you cheered me up.”

So far, ‘Tauba Tauba’ has garnered over 39 million views on YouTube. The video stars Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri, showcasing dance choreography by Bosco Martis. The song, written, composed, and sung by emerging Punjabi artist Karan Aujla, is featured in the upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Bad Newz,’ slated for release on July 19, 2024. Undoubtedly, ‘Tauba Tauba’ has significantly boosted the visibility of both the film “Bad Newz” and artist Karan Aujla.
