Experts believe that snakes and other small animals often seek out warm, sheltered spots inside parked vehicles, especially during colder or rainy seasons.
The little gap in the car's side mirror housing was likely a nice hiding spot for the snake when the car was stationary. When the car started moving, the engine's heat and the motion of the car disturbed the snake, which tried to get out.
Thankfully, the driver was alert and pulled over safely. Bystanders, bikers included, were also seen reacting in shock at the sight of the snake dangling from the car in motion.
Following the terrifying video, authorities and wildlife experts have issued an important safety alert for all drivers. They strongly suggest that motorists check their vehicles carefully before starting them, especially after the car has been parked for a long period of time or is situated in an area near bushes or trees.
A check under the hood, around the tires, and at the side mirrors can save such dangerous surprises. The caution by the authority reminds the people: “Stay alert. Stay safe. A few minutes of precaution can prevent a major scare or accident.”
The incident that went viral is a reminder that nature can suddenly cut across daily life and make what was otherwise a nondescript journey a fearful moment. Eventually, local wildlife rescuers were called in to safely remove the trapped reptile.
