A disturbing video on Instagram showing the unhygienic preparation of rewdi, a popular Indian sweet, has gone viral, sparking outrage. Filmed in Agra, the footage shows men preparing the sweet in a filthy, unsanitary room with no regard for hygiene.

In the video, a man kneads dough and sugar syrup with sesame seeds on a dirty floor, continues the process on a grimy wall to make it stiff. The men handle the rewdi without gloves, which is disturbingly below basic food safety standards.
