Repeat Incident Raises Safety Concerns

This is not the first time such negligence has been caught on camera in Jhansi. A few days earlier, another video surfaced showing an auto-rickshaw carrying 19 passengers, including two men dangerously perched on its roof.

Overloaded Vehicles—A Growing Hazard

According to reports, in 2022, overloaded vehicles accounted for 6.1% of total road accidents, 7.2% of fatalities, and 6.5% of injuries in India. The recent viral incidents have once again highlighted the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules to prevent potential tragedies.
