An influencer’s Instagram video on the worst countries he felt traveling to has sparked outrage online. David Simpson, who goes by the handle @djjsimpson on Instagram, dropped a video of him talking about the harsh realities of travelling to different countries.

India made it to his list and not in a good way. The video was shared on October 17 with the caption, “It’s not all Pina Coladas and white sandy beaches.”

For Simpson, Guinea was the most corrupt nation he visited while Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, had the worst traffic, with Manila a close second. When it came to the dirtiest place he visited, the vlogger said India.

The clip showed images of dirty streets and tangled electric wires as India was mentioned. Over the clip, Simpson wrote, “This is an absolute shame because parts of it are unreal, people amazing.”

Besides India, Simpson blasted Morocco for being the most inhospitable place. He called the United States the costliest destination.

David Simpson Worst Airport Experience

Moreover, Simpson commented a lot on his airport experience in India, noting that this country had the worst airport he had experienced in his life when one of the users asked his opinion in the comments section.

The vlogger wrote, “India, flight cancelled 5 times, trapped for a week. This was in 2025!” In another comment, he added that this happened at the end of August and was due to weather conditions.

Instagram Users Reaction

Many users were furious about Simpson’s comments. “Bro, you love Pakistan, we all know, but don’t disrespect India, the whole world knows which country is better and its GDP,” one account wrote.

Another said, “There are lots of good places in India, but you showed us some bad places just to get views.”

On the other hand, some users commended Pakistan for its hospitality, one user even called the country “the most hospitable and beautiful” in the world.

An account said, “Man India is ashamed on a global level, love from Pakistan.”

A person defended India and wrote, “You cannot class the whole of India a dirty country what a ridiculous statement. Some of the best hospitality and hotels in the world and you show pictures of a slum.

You could find that in most countries by going to a rundown area.” These comments serve to illustrate how the personal experiences of a traveller can become a virtual battleground for people of different nationalities.

A bad experience can bias a tourist against an entire country, and speaking out about it can lead to heated exchanges on social media.
