A seemingly risky situation turned beautiful when a train stopped for an elephant to cross safely and return unharmed to the forest. The incident was recorded and shared online by the Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan.
The clip shows the elephant walking alongside train tracks before suddenly speeding up and letting out a shriek after getting startled by the train approaching towards him.

The train was slowed and eventually stopped to let the elephant cross. The elephant paused for a second before returning into the forest. IFS officer Kaswan praised the train's crew saying, “LP Shri S. Toppo and ALP Shri S. Haldar deserves a salute. For they timely applied brake and saved this giant. On Wednesday, somewhere in North Bengal.”

The video has garnered almost 29,000 views since being posted. Numerous comments pour love and appreciation to the train's staff for their humble gesture.
Indian Railways has been stopping trains for elephants. In a previous case, a train was stopped in Jharkhand for over two hours when a female elephant went into labour on the tracks.
That video was also shared on the social media by Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, stating 'Beyond the news of human-animal conflict'.
