Heavy rains and a cloudburst in Uttarakhand’s capital city of Dehradun on Tuesday resulted in large-scale destruction, with a viral video capturing a tractor-trolley being carried away by the powerful currents of an overflowing river in Vikasnagar.
The trolley, said to be carrying a minimum of ten laborers to a mining spot, was trapped in the floods and midway in the stream. Four escaped, but six are still missing. A team has been dispatched for rescue from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The Daily Guardian cannot confirm independently where the video was shot.
