Tim Cook’s Diwali Wishes Shine Bright with iPhone Photography

Apple CEO Tim Cook wished everyone a happy Diwali by sharing a beautiful photo taken by an Indian photographer. This gesture is part of his annual tradition of showcasing iPhone photography from Indian users.

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Cook said, “Diwali is a time of light, unity, and hope. Wishing everyone celebrating a joyous and peaceful Festival of Lights.” The photo features diya (earthen lamps) placed on a bed of rose petals, capturing the essence of the festival.

Coincidentally, Tim Cook celebrated his 64th birthday on November 1.

Spotlight on Indian Photographer

The stunning image came from Rohit Vohra, a photographer based in Delhi. He used the iPhone 16 Pro Max to capture the photo. This model launched in September, showcasing the advanced camera features. Vohra is also the co-founder and editor-in-chief of APF Magazine, a photography publication. He expressed his excitement on Instagram after seeing Cook’s post. “It sure is a happy Diwali,” Vohra shared in his Instagram Stories, along with a screenshot of Cook’s post.

Engagement from Indian Users

Tim Cook’s Diwali wishes resonated with many users in India. They responded with their own messages. One user replied, “Thank you and happy Diwali, Tim.” Another user, Abhijeet Mukherjee, shared a photo of a Diwali candle, saying, “Happy Diwali, Tim. Here’s a pic I took yesterday on my new iPhone 16 Pro. Love the camera!”

Cook’s tradition of sharing Diwali-themed images each year aligns with the festival’s spirit. Last year, he featured a photo by Mumbai-based photographer Apeksha Makar. In 2021, he shared two images taken by Gursimran Basra from Noida.
